Creating Digital Equity

Nearly one-third of U.S. workers do not have foundational digital skills, which disproportionately affects workers of color due to structural inequities. AZ Cyber is closing the digital skills gap by offering young people hands-on cyber literacy and skills development for access to jobs with house-hold sustaining wages.

Diversifying STEM

Women make up 50% of the U.S. population but only 25% of the tech workforce. Combined, Black and Latinx individuals make up 30% of the nation’s population but just 15% of the tech workforce. AZ Cyber programming centers belonging and access so those underrepresented in STEM are supported as they pursue digital careers.

Developing Next Gen Tech Leaders

There are more than 12,500 unfilled cybersecurity jobs in Arizona and IT occupations are projected to grow for the next decade. AZ Cyber motivates and supports young people to become community leaders and pursue cross-sector careers in cyber and IT.

The AZ Cyber Initiative is a non-profit dedicated to unlocking opportunities for young people who are interested in cyber and emergent technology. We collaborate with workforce partners across the state to offer programs that provide career-connected and work-based learning experiences, leading to quality digital jobs that help young people achieve their dreams.

Educator Bootcamps & School Partnerships

AZ Cyber partners with K-12 schools and educators to bring cyber awareness and education into every classroom – not just IT classes. We offer professional development and Cyber Bootcamps for educators who seek to incorporate career-connected learning into their lessons.

We work with schools to offer a continuum of career-connected and work-based learning related to digital jobs and career pathways.
